A Lecturer, a Professor,
a Mother and more

Professor Oyeronke Olademo was born some 50+years ago into the royal family of Oyedeji, Ilé-Aníyùn compound in Ikire, the headquarters of Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State, as the first born of a middle-class family. Her parents were Late Prince Simeon Oyejara Oyedeji and Madam Rachel Morawo Oyedeji.

She attended Ijeru Baptist Day School, Ogbomoso (1969-74); Baptist Girls’ High School, Osogbo 1975-80); Olivet Heights, Oyo (1980-82); and the University of Ilorin (1982-85, 1990-91, 1992-97); for the primary, secondary, higher school certificate and University education respectively.

Work History

I have risen through the ranks to become a Professor in 2011, thus; Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer II, Lecturer I, Senior Lecturer and a Professor till Date.

Research Area

Comparative religious studies, Christian studies, Peace studies, Gender studies and Religion and Environment.
